Hello for all! I had configured the switch S5720-28X, with all necessary VLANs, SNMP, routing etc and now I'm trying to download these configurations to import in other equipments.

Hi stifmvz,
Do you want to copy all the configuration? If yes, you can export the configuration files to the local PC, and then import inot the new device. I think, this method is kindly of complicated.
As an alternative, you can run command 'display current-configuration' to view all the configuration and copy the output of this command, then paste in the new device, this is a convenient way I think.

Well, you might delete the useless configuration and then import the configuration into the new device.

  1. Hi Friend,

  1. Save configurations to the config.cfg file.

    <HUAWEI> save config.cfg

  2. Back up the configuration file using TFTP.

    1. Start the TFTP server program.

Start the TFTP server program on the PC. Set the path for transmitting the configuration file, and the IP address and port number of the TFTP server.

    2. Transfer the configuration file.

      # Run the tftp command in the user view to back up the specified configuration file.

      <HUAWEI> tftp 10.110.24.254 put flash:/config.cfg backup.cfg

or else run

<HUAWEI>display current-configuration

copy all the configuration and paste it in notepad and, and paste it into new device.

Hi @stifmvz

Please use SecureCRT and enable save logging before displaying configuration.

It will make a file and saving all your commands, so you need to write Dispaly Current-configuration to view and Save the configuration

SecureCRT
