Posted by l00198631 at 2018-01-30 14:24 hi Is there a easy method to remove stack configuration
Hi. Take in consideration that there are 2 ways to establish a stack: stack card connections and service port connections. Each method has different steps to split it but both will use the following steps:
1.Back up the stack configuration file.
2.Remove stack cables.
3.Restore physical member ports to service ports. (This step is required only in service port stacking.)
4.Restore the stack ID to the default value.
5.Power off all the member switches.
6.Remove the stack card. (This step is required only in stack card stacking.)

We are very interested in the virtual firewall technology of USG6000 series and we would like to deploy this in the future, one virtual firewall for each customer we have. Finally we would like each customer to have full access to an instance of firewall and the possibility to configure some functions like firewall policies and routing. But we are concerns about two points – security and firewall resources availability. What will be the impact on the main firewall concerning the above described points?

Hello and thank you for the question! Well, for the resource point of view, each virtual firewall can have its own resource usage quota. When you configure the virtual firewall, you can provision a specific amount of resources, like bandwidth, sessions and users amount and so if one instance is busy, it should not impact other virtual systems. Related to security, as an administrator for the main firewall, you have the possibility to decide whether to isolate or leak the communication from one instance to another. Basically you can decide which type of security strategy to use.
