i.Project Background
The customer wants to test if the access point has the capability to be a stand-alone access point without the use of an access controller.
ii.Project Difficulties
The AP5030DN is currently working on FIT mode which is dependent to access controller and should be converted to FAT mode. Download the software from the support website and upload the .bin file to the AP through FTP/TFTP.

1. Download the necessary software from the support website

2. Setup a TFTP server
- Current Directory: select your directory where .bin file is located
- Server interfaces: Use the IP address of your terminal connected to AP
3. Configuring static IP address of AP

4. Access the AP’s CLI to check AP information

5. Prepare the switching
[Huawei] ap-mode-switch prepare
Info: Prepare is ok, Use ap-mode-switch command to switch to fat ap.
6. Verify before the switching.

7. Switch the AP mode to Fat. Set the file name (including the extension) of the target software package, IP address. The AP will restart and the restart takes around 2 minutes.
