Configuration Roadmap
The configuration roadmap is as follows:
Load the license file.
NOTE:The S1720GF, S1720GFR-P, S1720GW-E, S1720GWR-E, and S1720X-E have licenses installed before delivery. For details about how to obtain licenses for the S1720GW, S1720GWR, and S1720X, see S Series Switch License Use Guide.
Enable the STelnet service.
Create an SSH user.
Procedure
Load the license file.
Load a license file from your local computer
Click
next to Select file and select the license file to be uploaded. Click Activate to restart the switch and activate the license file.Load a license file from the server
Enter the server IP address in the Server IP address text box, and click Activate to restart the switch and activate the license file.
Choose . The license management page is displayed, as shown in Figure 2.
You can manually load a license file from your local computer or the server.
NOTE:The switch will restart after you confirm license activiation, so it is recommended that you select Save the configuration and Reboot.
Enable the STelnet service.
Choose and click the Service Management tab. The service management page is displayed.
Set the STelnet function to ON, as shown in Figure 3.
Click Apply and click OK in the displayed dialog box to enable the STelnet service.
Create an SSH user.
User name: admin
Password: admin123
Confirm password: admin123
Access level: Management user
Access type: SSH
Choose . The administrator information page is displayed.
Click Create. The page for creating an administrator account is displayed. Set the administrator information. Figure 4 shows the configuration result.
Click OK.
Verification
Click Open. In the displayed page, enter the user name and password and press Enter. (The following information is for reference only.)
