eSpace 7950 call fail after some idle time

Issue Description
eSpace 7950 is registered to Asterisk. All the calls are working fine at some point. After a period of idle time, the eSpace 7950 fails to initiate a call. The message returned from Asterisk to 7950 IP phone is 401 Unauthorised error.

Solution
1. Check the version of the IP phone.

The clients version was V100R001C01SPC300. Giving the fact that it is an old version, I suggested to update the software. In the meantime I asked for the wireshark capture for more details.

2. Check if this behaviour is happening also for other 3rd party IP phones connected as well to Asterisk.

Only Huawei IP phones had this issue.

3. Get the wireshark capture for further investigation.

After the softare was upgraded to V200R002C00SPC300 the issue was solved
