Error in sending SMS by huawei Modem

Hello dear community

I face an Error in sending SMS by huawei Modem

Kindly find details about problem related to Unicode messages (Arabic) using AT command through GSM modem as below:

Model number and hardware revision:
AT+CGMM = E173
AT+CGMR = 11.126.29.00.195

Manufacturer:
AT+CGMI= Huawei

Code:

but we always get Error (+CMS ERROR: 305)

Confirmed:

CMS error 305 is because the E173 device does not support sending text content that does not match the device language.


If you need to change E173 to Arabic. You need to contact the device provider to obtain the firmware and device upgrade in Arabic.


As the E173 is not a product of enterprise networks, it must be stated that the E173 has been out of production for a long time. Therefore, you can only contact the device provider for a solution.

Dear E.DR, 

CMS error 305 means invalid text mode parameter, are you sending some special character like مرحبا?  You can try it in English words.
