Hello, everyone!
In this post, I would like to share with you equipment-Level protection.
The equipment supports several equipment-level protection schemes.
Power Redundancy
1+1 protection for the power supply board: Two PIU boards together provide two -48 V DC power supplies.
As illustrated in Figure 1, the OptiX OSN 550 has a pair of -48 V DC power supplies for backup. Normal operations are not affected if any external -48 V DC power supply fails.

As illustrated in Figure 2, the OptiX OSN 550 has a pair of AC power supplies for backup. Normal operations are not affected if any external 100 V to 240 V AC power supply fails.

1+1 Protection for the System Control, Switching, and Timing Board
The system control, switching, and timing board supports 1+1 active/standby protection. The active and standby boards function as a mutual backup for each other.

Fan Redundancy
Six air-cooling fans dissipate the heat generated by the system. The failure of a single fan does not affect the operation of other fans.
TPS Protection
On the OptiX OSN 550, you can use DMS interface boards to implement 1:1 TPS protection for E1 services on one group of PD1 boards.

That's all, I hope you like it.
Thank you!
