802.1x Local Authentication

eNSP to use 802.1x Local Authentication-1279817-1

(802.1x client and eNSP topo are attached.)

In this lab, I configure Ethernet 0/0/0 as 802.1x authentication. The eNSP has no 802.1x client, so I download a Huawei 802.1x client instead. I can configure a cloud so that my PC adaptor can communicate the Ethernet 0/00 of Router.

Without dialup, I can see the following output:

[Huawei]display access-user

Info: No online user.

After dialup with success, the output is as below:

[Huawei]display access-user

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 UserID Username                       IP address                   MAC

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 89     huawei                         -                         7845-c40f-666c

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Total 1,1 printed

7845-c40f-666c is the MAC address of my PC.

eNSP to use 802.1x Local Authentication-1279817-2

We can see clearly the EAP authentication as above clearly.

802.1x client and eNSP file are attached.

Network Engineer---Router

Router is no doubt the core of network, so I need to be familiar with router if I want to be a good network engineer.

Before I do some experiments, I need to make sure I learn the theory well at first. One’s life should be full of learning, learning is after all a thing for life, not for school.

The first thing I need to know is IP Unicast Routing.

Thanks for your encouragement, you’re so sweet. O(∩_∩)O~I think I find the perfect place for writing networking articles---Huawei Enterprise Forum. I also hope more and more foreign engineers could be familiar with Huawei enterprise products. I went to Hannover this year and found the display of Huawei enterprise products was amazing. It’s the only Chinese company in Hall 2 with IBM, Microsoft and Samsung around. I’m proud of Huawei though I’m an employee from another company in Hall 13,hehe.
