My first post here. This the error I am getting when I try to start a router in eNSP.

error 40

Have tried all the solutions mentioned in FAQ section and a couple of posts in this forum as well. But nothing seems to be working for me. I have a exam in a month or so. I want to lab. So help me out.

Regards,

Ali Imran

Hi,

You can refer to

  2. How to solve the NE40E/NE9000/NE5000E/CX200/CE6800/CE12800 start timeout on eNSP? - Huawei Enterprise Support Community

  3. How to solve the AR/WLAN start failure or ### displayed ceaselessly? - Huawei Enterprise Support Community

If you don't install the eNSP, you can download the eNSP in my new post:

by the way, you'd better check the virtual box version, cause the ensp is not compatible with the virtual box version 6.x
it's recommended to install the verison 5.2.x

If the help documentation doesn't work, you can also try the following steps.

1. Run with Win7 compatibility.

  • Open the VBox installation directory, set VirtualBox.exe and VBoxManage.exe to Win7 compatibility mode and check the program to Run this program as an administrator.

  • Open the eNSP installation directory, set eNSP_Client.exe and eNSP_VBoxServer.exe in the vboxsever folder to the Win7 compatibility mode and check Run this program as an administrator

2. Change the version of the VBox, like 5.2.X.

3. Delete the virtual image and register the device. Please refer to the following linkhttps://forum.huawei.com/enterpr... 0/thread/477189-865.

Tried the win 7 compatibility mode as well enabling admin mode and reverting back to vbox version 5.2.36 as well. But nothing worked for me.

If you have tried all the solutions, and nothing worked. Well, you can try to install virtualization software and install the eNSP in the VMs. Or you can reinstall the OS, but that would take more time.

Disable hypervisor platform and virtual machine platform if you install WSL since it can block hypervisor from VirtualBox itself and use an old version of VirtualBox, I use VirtualBox 5.2 on windows 10 latest update

hope it can save you from a headache

edit : if acceleration tabs grey, something is conflict like i said before

Yes the acceleration tab is grey. How to fix this? When I installed latest version of virtual box acceleration tab was working fine.
