Enquire on VRRP switchover transmission time

When master ( Switch A) switchover to slave (Switch B), whats transmission take taken for the switch to perform the transferred via VRRP. Is there any alternative to set the transmission or delay time when switch A switchover to switch B during the reduancy mode?
