Enabling the RADIUS Function on an NE

The RADIUS security management function is available on an NE only after you enable the RADIUS function on the NE.

Prerequisites

You must be an NMS user with Administrators authority or higher.

Procedure

• In the NE Explorer, select the NE and then choose Security > NE Radius Function Configuration from the Function Tree.
• In the right pane, click Query.
• Select Open from the RADIUS Client drop-down list to enable the RADIUS client function on the NE.
  
  
• Optional: Select Open from the Proxy Server drop-down list to enable the proxy NAS function on the NE.
  
  
  NOTE:
  
  • You need to enable the proxy NAS function on an NE only when the NE is a gateway NE and non-gateway NEs adopt the proxy NAS mode to implement authentication and authorization.
  • Before enabling the proxy NAS function on an NE, enable the RADIUS client function on the NE.
    
  
  
  
• Click Apply. A dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation is successful.
• Click Close.
