Problem Diagnosis
Check whether a VBS creation failure exists in the Task Center on DeviceManager.
If yes, contact technical support engineers for confirmation.
After the problem is confirmed, rectify the fault by referring to Solution.
Causes
After the OSD process is started during the storage pool capacity expansion, data starts being reconstructed. If a subsequent step fails, the started OSD process will not be deleted to ensure data security and that the consumed time is not wasted. Therefore, you need to retry the capacity expansion task.
Solution
On the Task Center page of DeviceManager, find the ID of the storage pool capacity expansion task.
Log in to a management node, run the /OSM/script/ismcli -u admin command, and enter the password of user admin to switch to user admin. If user admin is not configured, log in as another administrator. Then, run the change task status task_id=XXX action=retry command to retry the capacity expansion.
After the command is executed, check whether the storage pool capacity expansion task is complete normally on DeviceManager. If yes, no further action is required.
If the problem persists upon multiple times of retry, contact technical support engineers.
Check After Recovery
The storage pool capacity expansion task is complete normally on DeviceManager.
