EG8145V5 disconnecting one device at a time.

HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Every day our devices are running out of Internet access one at a time. One hour, one person's internet goes down, then that one comes back, then another's goes down, and so on. One hour is a cell phone, then a PC, then the TV and so on. Usually the devices say "connected without internet". Today when it happened with the PC, I did a network diagnosis and it showed the message "DNS probe finished on the internet" and "the DNS server is not responding". Meanwhile, the rest of the devices continue to function normally. All are less than 3 meters from the modem and without obstacles. It happens with the 2.4 and 5ghz networks (the latter sometimes disappears). Each disconnection lasts between 10 and 15 minutes and the internet returns on its own. None of these problems happened with the previous operator. I thought about changing the DNS on the modem, but the Epuse password does not grant this access and the operator is unaware of the existence of another password (I don't know if changing the DNS would solve ... It would be my first attempt to resolve it). Does anybody know how to solve this?

Hi user!

You can also disable Prioritize 5 GHz to hide your 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network respectively
When the router's Wi-Fi is disabled, your phone, tablet, or laptop will not be able to connect to your router. You can enable Wi-Fi by restarting your router.

If you disabled your router's Wi-Fi through the web-based management page and selected After restarting, your router will turn on Wi-Fi automatically, Wi-Fi will be enabled automatically when you restart your router.

Thanks!

Hello, friend!

As the problem you described is not clear, I cannot locate the fault based on the information you provided.

You are advised to restart the device and connect the network again.

A maximum of 36 terminals devices can be connected to an EG8145V5.

Is the EG8145V5 obtained from the ISP?

For carrier products provided by the ISP, contact the ISP for the administrator account and password of the ONT.

In order to solve your problem accurately
Please give me a clearer description.

Thank you!

Hello! Thanks for answering. I have only 11 devices connected. If I turn off the modem, some time after it restarts, it starts all over again: disconnect one device, then another and another and so on. They are disconnected for about 15 minutes and then work again. Today I connected a network cable to the TV and the problem remained the same, that is, it is not the wifi. I also don't understand why this modem's DNS configuration is so protected.

I see and need deep analyze over this issue

Hello, friend!

I don't think it's a DNS configuration issue.

Can you provide the configuration information of the EG8145V5?

The procedure is as follows:

1. Please help to confirm below questions

1) The device connected with Velop always work fine?

2) How often does the issue happens?

2. Prepare two PC,PC1 connect to LAN1 port,PC2 connect to LAN2 port,and both PC1 and PC2 please install wireshark

3. PC1 telnet to the ONT,execute below command:(default account:root/admin or root/adminHW)

WAP> set ethportmirror sourceport 10 destport 1 mirrordate 2 enable 1

////destport 1 means the capture PC connect to ONT by LAN1 port

4. Open wireshark on PC1 and PC2,and start capture

5. PC2 ping 8.8.8.8,Wait until the ping request timeout

6. Stop the capture and save the packet

WAP> set ethportmirror sourceport 10 destport 1 mirrordate 2 enable 0

7. Collect the ONT configuration file and fault info

Hi user, if your configuration is correctly then u follow below steps hope it can help u:

Problem:
Wi-Fi frequently disconnects and then automatically reconnects.

Cause:
This issue may be caused by an issue with Wi-Fi roaming. If there are several mobile hotspots stored in the computer, the computer will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot with the best signal. If you frequently move the computer to other areas, the computer will frequently and automatically connect to other Wi-Fi hotspots.
This issue may also occur when there are two hotspots (for example, one is 2.4 GHz and the other is 5 GHz) with the same network name and password. In this case, your computer will connect automatically to the Wi-Fi hotspot with the best signal and network connection.
This issue may occur when the computer sends a data packet to the router and the router does not respond. In this case, the computer may think that the router is turned off and then disconnects from it.
This issue may also be caused by a faulty Wi-Fi driver.

Thanks!
