Hello All together,


I got here in Poland an Huawei EchoLife HS8546V Optical Router (Giga-Bit).


The provider cannot provide any documentation for this router. On the Huawei product registry site, I cannot register the router. (There is an error message concerning the product type number - which "should not end on V".


The QR-Code on the router leads to a not accessable web-site in China.


Is it in any way possible to find a manual for this router? Or even, if it's in this case a special OM-product, which official router would be the same? I would really like to know, how this router works and what capabilities this router offers.


I would appriciate any help, also, if possible, by oficial supporters from Huawei.

Hi!

This ONT actually is used for Chinese operator customization, so it's not destined for overseas use.

Please check with your provider and change with another ONT.

thank You so much for Your answer. Well the problem is, that TEL-KAB Sp.z.o.o. is delivering this ONT here in Warsaw for their end customers on the high-speed internet connectivities on optical based networks. Obviously they are not able to provide something other. With Your information I am not sure how they act here as a provider company.

The basic question now is, what would You suggest? I guess the MAC ID (adress) is somehow binded to the access point. If I would take another one...

Is there a ONT from HUAWEI, that is generally set up for the European market? And if, which one would it be?

hi,

the customization ONT have the default settings , which means some parameter settings required by the operator , so it cannot be changed , recommend you check with your provider and get another ONT which sell in European.

and this forum support enterprise customers, the enterprise customer can choose the ONT as below link which compare with the service request
