what would be the required permissions in order to acess the newer files ? registering the product only yields spc122 in the result list still although it is now downloadable

I have the same problem.

After registration I can only download totally outdated firmware: V100R006C00SPC122 and V100R006C01SPC122

So what is the problem Huawei? Why you are making this normal process of updating the firmware so complicated..??!! I've bought your product and now have to beg you for an acces to the newest and safest firmware? This is ridiculous!

Please give me an access to the newest software for HG8245.

I don't want to download it from some untrusted and unofficial sites like: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=557472&view=findpost&p=38877438 because you as a producer have to provide normal access to this software!

This company is awful, i'm trying to update a firmware and after registering TWICE I cannot see the downloads. The website doesnt work, and the employees are not able to solve a simple problem.

You need to report Huawei to:

(1) FCC if you live in the USA

(2) OFcom if you live in the UK

Recently FCC forced ASUS to producce firmware updates for their shockingly vulnerable routers!!! To my knowledge, TP-Link and Huawei make routers and then they do not care anymore even if researchers tell them about vulnerabilities in their routers. They never update firmware and not providing this is same as opening doors to the online criminals.

So please guys, take some courage and complain to the authorities. When they receive threats that sale of their routers will be banned in US and UK/EU territories, then they will wake up because this threatens their purse and reputation!!

Unebleivable that I created an account and I cannot even download latest firmware for EchoLife HG8245H.

I just received this unit and noticed unreliable wifi connections or buffer problem when streaming videos. Its very unprofessional indeed to not provide the latest firmware to the user.
