Echolife E8247Q: Extending "range" with Mesh technology

We have a enterprise installed Router Echolife EG8247Q in our house.


To extend our Wifi Range in the house I'll try to install a mesh system. (cable conection to extend range is not a optioni_f06.gif).


Which Huawei devices could I use to arrange a Mesh Network. (The router Echolife EG8247Q is given!), or do any  Huawei mesh products function?

Hello, friend!

As you said, you have an EG8247Q and it is connected to the Internet. You can use the EG8247Q as a mesh gateway access point and connect it to an AP or a device that supports the AP mode to establish a mesh networking.

As an ONT, the EG8247Q does not support the AP mode.

My questions is this:
In the description of the Huawei Mesh systems they all mention this system as " have a router". But I have already a Huawai router. So the Huawei Mesh systems come with a router an I use this router then only as AP, thats actually what I need.

No, I have the E8247Q installed as router and controlled by the provider for the Internet.
But all descriptions of mesh System sets talking of router in their offers/ads.
And as you know, in a regular Wifi setup shouldn't be 2 routers.
Is it because of the mesh technic, that they call the devices also router and not only AP's.
This confuses me!
