You can also add eAPP to eOMC.

Setting eAPP Common Parameter

This section describes how to set eAPP common parameters.

Context

The eAPP common parameters specify rules that the eMDC610 uses to check whether a number is an outgoing number. Each rule consists of a prefix and a length. A number is an outgoing number if it complies with the specified rules.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation menu, choose Management Tools. Click eAPP Common Parameters. The eAPP Common Parameters window is displayed.

  2. Click New. In the displayed New eAPP Common Parameters dialog box, specify parameters listed in Table 1.

    Table 1 Common parameters

    Parameter

    Value

    Description

    Number prefix (*)

It is a number containing 1 to 16 digits.Indicates the prefix of an outgoing number.
Number LengthIt is a digit from 1 to 16 or a combination of such digits separated by commas (,), like 5,10.Indicates the length of an outgoing number. If this parameter is not set, the number length is not limited.
    NOTE:
A parameter with an asterisk (*) is mandatory.

  3. Click OK. A prompt message is displayed, indicating that the setting is successful.

  4. Click OK.

Hi dear.

You can perform the following steps to add an eSCN230 to the eAPP:

Adding Device Nodes

This section describes configurations for the interconnection between the standard eAPP610 server and other NEs.

Prerequisites

You have logged in to the eAPP Management System of the current server as the admin user. For details, see Logging In to the eAPP Management System.

Context

Device node configurations for the standard eAPP610 server are as follows:

  • Add the core network as the ECN node. In the core network geographic redundancy scenario, an active ECN node and a standby ECN node must be configured. The IP addresses of the active and standby ECN nodes are respectively set to the Tx interface control-plane IP addresses of the active and standby eSCN230s/eCNS210s or those of the TSNs of the active and standby eCNS280s/eCNS290s. The active and standby ECN nodes must be configured with different SIP user numbers.

  • Add the master eMRS620 as the MRS node. If there are multiple master eMRS620 servers, add all of them as the MRS nodes one by one.

Procedure

  1. Select MDC Business on Home Page. The Configuration window is displayed.

  2. Choose Dispatcher Configuration > Device Configuration > Device Node from the navigation menu. The Device Node window is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

  3. Add corresponding device nodes.

    Option

    Description

Add the core network as the ECN node.

    Go to Step 4.

Add the master eMRS620 as the MRS node.

    Go to Step 5.

  4. Add the core network as the ECN node.
