HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hi

I'm implementing Dual-Homing Type B Scenario based on the EA5800 docimentation (https://support.huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1100016413/ac65d91/configuring-gpon-type-b-dual-homing-olt-dual-homing)

I have a question regarding adding the ONTs ti the OLTs.

Do I need to add all configuration such as Line Profile, Service Profile, Service Port and all ONTs to both OLT-A and OLT-B or I just have to configure the OLT-A and OLT-B will get it automatically from OLT-a? and if there is a defect on OLT-A and it stop working OLT-B will automatically load the conficuration ??

Sorry if its a stupit question but I really did not find a clear explanation how Dual-Homing-TypeB works.

Regards,

Hello, friend!

Currently, type B dual-homing protection is mainly used in the passive optical LAN (POL) solution and requires the cooperation of the OLT, ONU, and aggregation devices. You are advised to set up a cluster or VRRP interconnection on the core switches to work with type B dual-homing protection to enhance the overall reliability of the solution.

The answer to your question is already in the prerequisites in the configuration file:

EA5800

Therefore, before configuring B-type dual-homing, add the ONU to the OLT and bind the DBA profile, traffic profile, and line profile to the ONU.

I read the link you inserted. This link is more about Type B dual-homing configuration.

Thank You

I'll come back with results when I configure the Active OLT.
