MZ220

The MZ220 is a Fibre Channel (FC) host bus adapter (HBA). It is used for E9000 compute nodes and provides two 16G FC ports for compute nodes to connect to switch modules in the chassis.

The MZ220 uses the Emulex XE201 chip, and its two 16G FC ports support 16G/8G auto-negotiation. The MZ220 supports FC network applications and provides high-bandwidth, high-performance storage network solutions.

MZ310

The MZ316 iNIC (MZ316 for short) is a network interface card with excellent performance. The MZ316 adopts the multi-core and multi-threaded network processor (NP) architecture and is used for virtual switching, security isolation, and quality of service (QoS) in cloud computing and virtualization solutions.

The MZ316 provides the following functions and features:

Adopts the multi-core and multi-threaded network processor (NP) architecture to process packets efficiently.
Complies with Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) 2.0 specifications to provides a PCIe x8 bus interface.
Supports multiple queues and virtual network interface cards (NICs), providing 256 queues or virtual interfaces.
Supports load balancing on active and standby ports.
Sends packets directly through virtual machine device queue (VMDQ) and forwards packets through Domain0.

MZ611

The MZ611 is an InfiniBand (IB) HCA. It is used for E9000 compute nodes and provides two 56G IB fourteen data rate (FDR) ports for compute nodes to connect to switch modules in the chassis.

The MZ611 uses the Mellanox ConnectX-3 (CX3) chip and supports HCA applications. The 56G ports on the MZ611 support 56G/40G auto-negotiation and support 56G (FDR) and 40G (QDR) port applications (QDR stands for quad data rate). The MZ611 also supports the Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) feature to address low-latency network applications.

The MZ710 supports the Remote Direct Memory Access over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) feature to address low-latency network applications.

MZ910

The MZ910 is a multi-purpose NIC. It is used for E9000 compute nodes, and provides two 10GE ports and two 8G Fibre Channel (FC) or 10G Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) ports for compute nodes to connect to switch modules in the chassis.

The MZ910 uses the Emulex XE201 chip. It provides two 10GE ports to support NIC applications, and provides two 8G FC or 10G FCoE ports (the port mode is configurable) to support FC and FCoE network applications. Software can automatically set the port mode (FC or FCoE)depending on the type of the connected switch modules.

The MZ910 provides independent physical ports to connect the service network and storage network respectively, which implements physical isolation between the two networks.

MZ912

The MZ912 is a multi-purpose NIC. It is used for E9000 compute nodes, and provides two 10GE ports and two 16G Fibre Channel (FC) or 10G Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) ports for compute nodes to connect to switch modules in the chassis.

The MZ912 uses the Intel 82599 chip and Emulex XE201 chip. The Intel 82599 chip provides two physical 10GE ports, and supports NIC applications. The XE201 chip provides two 16G FC or 10G FCoE ports (the port mode is configurable), and supports FC and FCoE network applications. Software can automatically set the port mode (FC or FCoE)depending on the type of the connected switch modules. If the port mode is FC, 16 Gbit/s or 8 Gbit/s auto-negotiation is supported.

The MZ912 provides independent physical ports to connect the service network and storage network respectively, which implements physical isolation between the two networks.
