E3372 - manual dial-in and IP address conflict with VPN

Issues description


I have two serious problems with the new E3372 LTE stick:


  • I need to use the E3372 with our OpenWrt-Router. Therefore, it is necessary to stay online. The automatic-setting will disconnect the connection after a maximum of 120 minutes of inactivity, so I have to use the manual setting. But how to I trigger the connection without the Web-Interface?


  • The router routes via VPN to a net with the subnet 192.168.8.0/24, but this conflicts to the E3372 subnet. How do I change the E3372-IP-address?



Possible solution


Perhaps it is possible to use the E3372 in classic modem mode as per the prior sticks?

as i know, the Huawei E3372 default IP address can't be changed, perhaps you can try to change the IP address of the router.
