Duplicate Alarms Are Frequently Reported
Symptom
The same alarm is frequently reported on the IVS C/S client.
Possible Cause
The alarm suppression time is too short.
Solution
- Log in to the OMU portal of the server.
- Choose . In the System Domains panel, select the domain where the device locates.
- Set Module name to SCU and Parameter type to Alarm property.
- Click Search. The page for setting AlarmHoldDuration is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.Figure 1 Alarm suppression time

NOTE:The parameter AlarmHoldDuration specifies the alarm suppression time. The SCU will not report the same alarm within the specified time. The default value is 30. A smaller value indicates that the same alarm will be reported more frequently. - Properly set AlarmHoldDuration and check whether the fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.
