Hello bro! hope it can help:
There are five DRX parameters, namely, On Duration , Inactivity Timer , Short Cycle Length , Short Cycle Timer , and Long Cycle Length . The sleep state begins with short DRX cycles and will switch to long DRX cycles if there is no packet arrival for consecutive short cycles. Note that when , there are only long cycles in the sleep state. According to the LTE-A standard, short cycles are optional. The UE will indicate its capability of supporting short DRX cycles when registering to the eNB by the Feature Group Indicator (FGI) bit [3]. In both short and long DRX cycles, the UE powers off its transceiver module except in the sub-frames, during which the UE powers on to listen to downlink traffic sent by the eNB. To simplify the analysis, we assume that both short and long DRX cycles always start with CON. Our analysis can be modified for the case where On Durations are at any location in the short and long cycles.
