For connect business users, which is a recommendation to use protection in downstream?

Type B single-homing protection, type B dual-homing protection or type C single-homing protection?

Hello, dear friend.

As Wissal said, we recommend type C single-homing protection for connecting and protecting downstream enterprise users.

Because the xPON type C protection switching is implemented through the redundancy configuration of the two PON ports on the ONU, backbone optical fiber, optical splitter, and tributary optical fiber on an xPON network. Each item is in a dual configuration. The protection improves the reliability of the optical distribution network (ODN) and prevents service interruption.

Compared with Type B single-homing protection, Type C single-homing protection has higher reliability.

Compared with Type B dual-homing, Type C single-homing protection is simpler, lower cost, and easier to manage.

Hi, friend!
Choose the protection mechanism based on your network topology and actual conditions.
As you know in detail, different protection types have certain requirements on the network topology and devices.
