Downloading apps to internal storage when sd card is set as default location?

So, a potentially stupid question: I have a 2016 Huawei P9 lite, and whenever I try to download an app from the play store, it installs into internal storage. Is there any way to force the apps to install on the sd card directly?

Hi, dear

Hi, Apps cannot be directly installed on the microSD card. Some software can be transferred to the microSD card, but some startup files are still stored internally.
You can click Settings - Programs
Then select an application, and then click Transfer to SD Card.
