I have a very important tool to share with you, and that is Navigator.
The Navigator is a tool developed by Huawei for managing transmission devices. It provides an operation interface in command line format for technical maintenance personnel.
1. Main Window
The following figure shows the main window of Navigator.
2. Menu
The menus in the Navigator main window are as follows:
a. File Menu
The following figure shows the submenus of the File menu.
b. New Connection
This menu is used to create a connection to a gateway NE.
After you choose New Connection, the dialog box shown in the following figure is displayed.
You can click Search to search for the IP addresses of gateway NEs. All the IP addresses that meet your search criteria are listed in NE IP Address. You can click the drop-down list to display all the gateway NE IP addresses, or click Connect to set up a communication connection to the IP address displayed in the NE IP Address text box.
c. Login To NE
This menu is used to log in to an NE. After you choose Login To NE, the dialog box shown in the following figure is displayed.
NE ID: indicates the ID of the NE to which you will log in.
Username: indicates the user name for login.
Password: indicates the password for login.
Force Login: indicates whether to log in to the NE forcibly. This option is designed for the 10Gv2 device. If you log in to the NE forcibly from a 10Gv2 device, you can use the :lognew command, because the :login command cannot be used for login if you do not exit from the NE. After you select Force Login, the Navigator will send the :lognew command for login.
note:
Non-10Gv2 devices do not support the :lognew command, and you are not allowed to log in to the NE forcibly from such devices. Therefore, do not select Force Login for non-10Gv2 devices.
d. Save Input or Output
This menu is used to save the content in the input box and output box as files. After you choose Save Input or Output, the dialog box shown in the following figure is displayed.
Note:
If your cursor is rested in the output box, the dialog box for saving the content in the output box is displayed. If your cursor is rested in the input box, the dialog box for saving the content in the input box is displayed.
f. Exit
You can choose Exit to exit from the Navigator.

2. It is a compressed package that you need to download to your local computer, extract the file, and run Navigator.exe.
3. Attachments need to be downloaded from the PC, and cannot be downloaded from the mobile phone.
