Hello guys

I try to downgrade a new AP7052DE with V200R010C00SPCb00 on it to fit the AC with V200R008 Version, because of a Version-Missmatch.

In wlan mode i execute "ap update load ap-id 214 update-filename fitap7050de_v200r008c10spc800.bin" but the download fails.

How can i do that?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Jeff_best,

Please check whether the AP uses the new flash memory.

Devices with the new flash memory support these latest versions: V200R006C10SPCd00, 200R007C10SPCc00, V200R007C20SPCh00, and V200R008C10SPCa00. Devices can be upgraded or downgraded between the preceding versions. For example, you cannot directly downgrade a device with the new flash memory from V200R008C10SPC500 to V200R006C10SPCd00. You need to upgrade the device from V200R008C10SPC500 to V200R008C10SPCa00 and then downgrade to V200R006C10SPCd00.

Devices with the new flash memory include:

−        AP2030DN, AP3010DN-V2, AP3030DN, AP4030DN, AP4130DN, AP430-E, and R240D

−        AP1050DN-S, AP2050DN, AP2050DN-E, AP2050DN-S, AP4030DN-E, AP4030TN, AP4050DN-E, AP4050DN-HD, AP4051DN, AP4051DN-S, AP4151DN, AP5030DN, AP5030DN-C, AP5030DN-S, AP5130DN, R250D, R250D-E, R450D, AP9131DN, AP9132DN, and AD9430DN-12

−        AP7052DN, AP7152DN, AP6052DN, AP8082DN, AP8182DN, AP7052DE, AP4051TN, and AP8050TN-HD

−        AP8050DN, AP8050DN-S, and AP8150DN

To check the flash version of an AP, run the display bsp-driver post command. If the value of NOR_FLASH version or NAND_FLASH version is new, the AP has the new flash memory.

[Huawei-diagnose] display bsp-driver post

NOR_FLASH test .......................... pass

DDR test ................................ pass

PHY test ................................ pass

NOR_FLASH version ....................... new

NAND_FLASH version....................... new

Hi,

AP7052DE supports 802.3at, that is, the AP supports the 30W power supply by the switch. But in this case, the following functions are restricted:

The radio power is self-adapted.

The USB function is not supported.

The 5GE port rate is lowered to 2.5 Gbit/s or lower. Non-power supply network ports do not support communication.

And some models of S5720 can supply 60w(802.3bt), this depends on your specific model.

If you want to implement the preceding functions and the switch supports only 802. 3at, you may need to change the switch model.

Hi Popeye_Wang
Thanks for your reply. So this means, the AP will work, but with the restrictions above?
Its an S5720-56C-PWR-HI-AC. 802.3bt is not supported!
So there is no way to get this AP work without restrictions? Is there another model of AP that will work with this switch?

Hi,
You can choose a 802.3at AP.  For AP PoE Standard, See the following post:
