Dorado FC transceiver output power acceptable limits

Please, explain, if possible, which optical module transmit power limit is acceptable for short-range communication with Dorado storage. For example, let's look at modules across our Dorado V6 storages (file is attached). 

All systems operating fine, the channel statistics exerpt at main storage is also in the file.

Finisar defines two acceptable levels for their modules in the datasheet (link, page 8): -8..-1 dBm for "Dynamic Range for Rated Accuracy", and -10..-2 dBm for "Max Reporting Range". 

If the module maximum output power is -2 dBm (which equals ~631 uW), should the modules with actual output power ~745 or ~752 uW be treated as "defective"?

Which conditions for FC optical tranceivers are actually used by Huawei in storage manufacturing?

Hello, friend!

According to the data queried here, the maximum value of output power is 2 dBm, which is not -2. 1 is the reference value.

The minimum optical power of 32 GB is –6.7 dBm and the maximum optical power is +2 dBm. The optical power ranges from 213 uW to 1584 uW.

We have found many SFP modules in the file what you uploaded , which is the you concern ? different speed with different requirement , we can't judge it without exact information . We recommend to use SmartKit to inspect the Storage .

Yes, the SmartKit inspection is OK also, but Customer needs to investigate the statistics a little bit more.
For example, let's look at Finisar modules s/n P5AAGK1 and P58BYNV, with output power about 773 uW both.
