Does the EGS2 board support electrical modules

Hi there!

I want to know whether the N3EGS2 board of the OptiX OSN 3500 supports electrical modules。 I have a switch that needs to be connected to it. However, the switch has only electrical ports but not optical ports.

Please help me，Thanks！

Hello,

When the N3EGS2 has the electrical interfaces, the two GE electrical interfaces are of the same type and have the same usage. Table 2 describes the types and usage of the electrical interfaces of the N3EGS2.

N3EGS2 boards also support 1000BASE-T Ethernet electrical ports. The electrical ports support the auto-negotiation function. The negotiated rate can be 10 Mbit/s, 100 Mbit/s, or 1000 Mbit/s. N3EGS2 boards support SFP electrical ports and hot swapping. The maximum transmission distance is 100 m.
