Got it

Does E3372 have NAT and can it be disabled or use bridging?

My application needs to be accessable from the internet.

My LTE cellular provider provides unique private IP addresses, but I wonder if these can be 'bridged' to the local IP address (192.168.8.1) that the modem has on the PC side.

I suspect (haven't checked yet) that the default behaviour of the modem is to do some kind of NAT, which means that only requested traffic can get in from the internet side.

The ideal would be if the modem, on the PC-side, could be on the same IP address as the one it gets from the LTE network provider.

I had a look at the settings in the built-in website, but I didn't see anything related. Is there a way to access more advanced settings?

Thanks,

Hello, friend!

The preceding problem description cannot be implemented.

Generally, Internet access requires NAT.

The E3372 supports the NAT function but cannot bridge the IP address of the ONT.

If you can, please provide your device version number and SN number.

Note that the E3372 is a consumer router.

Thanks!

I bought the E3372h-320 version, is it possible reload a different firmware, to change it to a E3372s-320 versions?

This s-320 version seems to work with AT-commands and wvdial.
I saw a wvdial config file for it here: https://github.com/morfikov/files/blob/master/configs/etc/wvdial.conf

Here they say it can be re-programmed from Hilink to 'stick mode'

Thanks!

hello chen,
It doen't need to be this specific E3372 type (the non-Hilink version is almost impossible to find in belgium)
Do you have any other types of USB LTE modems that have an external antenna connection possibility and that don't use Hilink.
The modem should accept regular AT commands, don't do NAT and present me the cellphone network IP address over a ppp connection in Linux.
Preferably in the form of a USB stick

You can consider ONTs.

Hello, friend!

It is confirmed that The device cannot be directly upgraded to S-320 using this method.

However, the latest E3372h-320 version supports the stick mode.

Thanks!

Regarding "However, the latest E3372h-320 version supports the stick mode."
Please advice on how the stick mode is activated. I am unable to find any details on this. I have the 320 version, currently in Hilink mode.

Hi,
You can contact your device provider to upgrade your device and enable stick mode.

How will the upgrade be done? By firmware enabling the stick mode? By device provider, do you mean the shop where I purchased the device? Hopefully I will not have to replace the device itself. It's brand new.

Please advice. Do I need to get a different type of 320 version? I need to know which 320 version supports stick mode.

Hi,
You need to consult with pre-sales personnel about this, as this model is a consumer device .
