Before we get started, let me provide a bit of context.
Since 2016, the NE router documentation team has collected feedback from customers in China and abroad regarding hardware description documentation, and has noted the following common issues:
Ø Hardware documentation lacks a hardware compatibility table (hardware mapping relationships table), which is inconvenient.
Ø Hardware technical specifications are repeated multiple times throughout the document , and these specification descriptions can be inconsistent.
Ø Provided optical module parameters are not complete, and not all optical modules provide parameters.
Ø BOM or model numbers are not provided for all hardware, making searching through the documentation inconvenient.
Ø Device and card pictures are too fuzzy, making them less useful. Clearer, higher quality pictures are needed.
To satisfy customer satisfaction requirements for hardware documentation, NE router documentation this year underwent a "Revitalization": hardware relationship tables are included, all references are now clearly sourced, supplementary hardware parameter information is provided, and quality is strictly enforced throughout. In addition, tools were used to automatically migrate hardware sources during the creation of the hardware description documentation, ensuring content consistency and accuracy.
Take a look at the main topic below, and complete the related tasks to earn points. Points mean prizes – you can take a look at what you can redeem using your hard-earned points here: Click here for details.
Task 1:
What information regarding our hardware documentation are you interested in? Which documentation do you use to get information regarding our hardware products?
For example: You work in network design, you are interested in hardware specifications. You usually get the information you need from hardware description documentation.
Reward terms: Answering both questions earns you 10 points. No points are awarded for nswering just one question.
Task 2:
Provide feedback and suggestions to help improve the hardware description documentation described earlier in this post.
Have a try: Hardware Description
Reward terms: Providing feedback earns you 10–20 points each (points awarded depends on how helpful and insightful the feedback is), up to a maximum of 50 points.
Now it is my pleasure to present you all with the results of this revitalization. Please feel free to leave a comment and share your impressions with us!
