Let me to introduce the background for this activity.

In 2016, Access Network Information Dept. has launched a series of information tools, such as Spec-Finder and Hardware Configuration Tool. These tools were welcomed by users and also we've received some suggestions, for example,

charis: in this forum, i just know that so many tool that Huawei have. In 2017, i hope huawei compile of that tool in one website page. So, each user know what tool that huawei already have and plan to be.

faz: No one have now enough time to go through large documents to find out their required information. Tools are very effective way to query the information / comparison one may need know within no time. So more online/offline tools should be developed in 2017.

To better meet user requirements, we will aggregate all tools on one portal this year. All you need to do is just follow the instructions and finally you can get all your desired information.

For example, carrier X needs 10G GPON services. Therefore, the network planning engineer needs to select corresponding boards. That is, the engineer needs to select proper boards from various 10G GPON boards. According to current tools, the engineer needs to obtain related information from these tools:

According to our imagination about the next-generation information tool, the above procedure might be:

Step 1: select a task

Step 2: select needed functional modules according to prompt messages and then obtain the information step by step.

During the whole process, you do not need to know the specific tool from which the corresponding information is obtained.

Task 1.Post your opinions on the next-generation information tool, do you agree with us to aggregate all information tools on the task basis? Or do you want to just retain what they are now?
