Low-end and mid-range firewalls support data forwarding cross Layer-2 switching cards on the following conditions:

1. The Layer-2 switching cards must be connected by network cables.

2. VLAN parameters and up-link enable must be configured on the directly connected interfaces.

NOTE:
The two Layer-2 switching cards can be regarded as two independent switches. For the two switches to communicate, you need to connect them with network cables and set VLAN parameters.
