Hi, Hummer You don't have to dismiss the original cluster. You can add new devices based on the original configuration. You do not need to dismiss the original cluster, which has no impact on the previous configuration. For more detail, you can refer to the following. Function DescriptionThe cluster management feature provides the following functions:- Allows users to create and dismiss VCN clusters.
- Supports failover and load balancing in the cluster mode.
- Allows users to add members to and remove members from the VCN cluster.
- Allows users to deploy a maximum of 16 VCNs in cluster mode.
- Allows users to add or delete cameras in the cluster.
- Allows users to view the storage space, RAID group running status, server running status, camera online status, and recording running status of cluster members on the OMU portal and to export cluster fault information to an EXCEL file.
The following is a description of how to create a cluster Creating a ClusterTo greatly enhance system reliability, you can configure a cluster for VCNs deployed in stack mode. PrerequisitesYou have deployed VCNs in stack mode.  - Before creating a cluster, ensure that servers to be added to the cluster have time-synchronized with each other. Otherwise, the cluster cannot be created. For details about how to configure NTP time synchronization, see Setting the Server IP Address, NTP Time Synchronization, and System Time.
- If NAT needs to be configured, please complete the NAT configuration before setting up a cluster. Otherwise, you need to dismiss the cluster and stack, set up a stack again, configure NAT, and then set up a cluster.
Background NOTE:In a cluster configured based on the stacking network, if a server is faulty, the system schedules the cameras connected to the faulty server to normal servers according to the load balancing policy. To alleviate the recording storage pressure of other normal servers, recover the faulty server as quickly as possible. Table 1 lists the networking requirements for two types of stacking networks. - If the cluster members include the master server, select the cluster server member, enter the floating IP address of the master node, and click Next, as shown in Figure 3.
The floating IP address of the master node is an IP address newly allocated to the master domain server of a cluster. You can use the floating IP address to log in to the master domain server. If the master domain server is faulty and is replaced by a new one, you can also use the original floating IP address to log in to the new master domain server. The cluster server is used for processing cluster information. When multiple cluster servers are deployed, system reliability can be greatly enhanced. Select the cluster servers based on the following rules: - You can only select an odd number of cluster servers. When the cluster members include the master server, the master server must function as the cluster server.
- For a cluster having 3-4 members, you are advised to select three cluster members as the cluster servers.
- For a cluster having 5-6 members, you are advised to select five cluster members as the cluster servers.
- For a cluster having 7-16 members, you are advised to select seven cluster members as the cluster servers.
- Select one cluster server as the master central database server, Click Next, as shown in Figure 5.

One master central database servers and two slave central database server are used to store camera information, user information, and basic domain information. Figure 6 Selecting slave central database servers - Configure a cluster floating gateway as required.
- When a device accesses the cluster using HWSDK and GB/T 28181 in active registration mode, you need to configure a cluster floating gateway.
- Select a cluster member as the cluster floating gateway, and set the IP address for the gateway. Click Next, as shown in Figure 7.
Figure 7 Selecting a cluster floating gateway NOTE:The floating gateway IP address of the cluster and cluster member IP address are in the same network segment. The floating gateway is used to schedule cameras that access the cluster in active registration mode. Select the cluster floating gateway based on the following rules: - You can select any cluster member as the cluster floating gateway. A cluster member excluding the master domain server and central database servers is recommended.
- You can select a maximum of n/2 cluster members as the floating gateway, and n indicates the number of cluster members. One cluster member is recommended.
NOTE:For example, if a cluster contains nine cluster members, you can use at most four of them as the cluster floating gateways. However, it is recommended that you select only one.
- Click Gateway of one or more cluster members, and choose a gateway IP address, as shown in Figure 8.

A message is displayed, indicating that the system is creating the cluster. Wait until a message indicating that the cluster is successfully created is displayed.
- If you do not need to set a cluster floating gateway, click Next.
In the displayed dialog box, click OK. A message is displayed, indicating that the system is creating the cluster. Wait until a message indicating that the cluster is successfully created is displayed.
VerificationClick the node in Cluster List on the left. The node is expanded, and the newly added cluster is displayed, as shown in Figure 9. Figure 9 Verification Adding or Deleting Cluster MembersBefore adding or deleting cluster members, note the following: NOTE:If the new cluster member works as a slave domain server, enter the floating IP address of the master domain server as the IP address of the master domain server when you set the stack parameters for the new cluster member. Dismissing a ClusterTo change the IP address of the master domain server of a cluster, you need to dismiss the cluster and delete the floating IP address of the cluster beforehand. To dismiss a cluster, proceed as follows: - Log in to the OMU portal of the master domain server as the Admin user.
- Choose .
- Select a cluster node from the navigation tree on the left and click Dissolve.
- In the dialog box that is displayed, click Confirm.
To delete the floating IP address of the cluster, proceed as follows: - Log in to the OMU portal of the master domain server as the Admin user.
- Choose .
- Click Remove floating IP. The floating IP address of the master domain server is deleted.
