Hi,

We transferred some old optical modules from old devices to Huawei switches. These optical modules are non-Huawei-certified but can work properly. The problem is that a large number of alarms are generated on the switch and sent to the NMS. Is there any way to disable these alarms?

Hello,
You can use t
he transceiver phony-alarm-disable command to disable the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified switch optical modules.

If you insist on using a non-Huawei-certified SFP, please note that Huawei cannot ensure that it is fully adaptable and will not cause any adverse impact. Huawei shall not be obligated to provide support to remedy defects or malfunctions arising from or resulting from the installation and use of non-certified transceivers in the event of continued use.

I hope this helps.

Hi user!

Solution:

The transceiver phony-alarm-disable command
disables the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified optical modules.

< HUAWEI > system-view
[ HUAWEI ] transceiver phony-alarm-disable
Info: Transceiver-phony-alarm disable.
The undo transceiver phony-alarm-disable
command enables the alarm function for non-Huawei-certified optical modules.

By default, the alarm function is enabled for non-Huawei-certified optical
modules.

THANKS!
