Disable the EC function of the EG8080P

Hi, friend.

Point of sale (PoS) devices are classified into high-speed and low-speed devices. Low-speed PoS devices must have the EC function enabled to cancel echo while high-speed PoS devices must have the EC function disabled. Do as follows to disable the EC function for voice service ports on an optical network unit (ONU):

1. Add a digital signal processing (DSP) parameter profile pos. In this profile, disable the EC function, set jitterbuffer to the static mode, disable the NLP mode, choose a proper modem working mode, and disable the silence compression function.

   

2. Add a service number 8008895111 and bind the DSP parameter profile pos to the number.
