The SmartAX MA5616 is an MDU and supports GPON, XG-PON, EPON, 10G EPON, GE, 10GE, VDSL2, ADSL2+, and POTS ports.

The SmartAX MA5600 belongs to the MSAN and DSLAM. Huawei MA5600 supports FE/GE optical ports, FE/GE electrical ports, ADSL2+ ports, SHDSL ports, ADSL2+ ports, SHDSL ports, and VDSL2 ports.

Therefore, according to their main differences:

1. They are access network products with different attributes and carry different software functions and processing capabilities.

2. According to the supported service ports, the MA5616 software can transmit and receive packets from the PON network, but the MA5600 software cannot process packets from the PON network.
