Hi,

On the AR651-X8, two interfaces have the same MAC address. Both interfaces are Layer 3 interfaces and are connected to different PEs.

Device version: V300R019C00SPC300.

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1

 undo portswitch

 ip address 10.xx.xx.14 255.255.255.252

#

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/2

 undo portswitch

 ip address 10.xx.xx.62 255.255.255.252

Hello,

This is normal for your device.

Regarding the AR device interface mac address allocation, the following rules apply:

  1. Vlanif and Layer 2 LAN ports initially use the system MAC as the MAC address.

  2. When the Layer 2 port switches to Layer 3 mode using the undo portswitch command, the MAC address does not change.

For this device, The G0/0/1 and G0/0/2 are LAN port by default, so the ports use the system MAC address. And the mac addresses not change when the ports switch to Layer 3 mode:

You can change MAC address refer following command.

[AR651]interfaceGigabitEthernet 0/0/1

[AR651-GigabitEthernet0/0/1]mac-address XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
