Each RF unit is connected to the antenna system through an RF jumper. RF jumpers are prepared and installed on site by engineers, which may cause human-led quality problems. Voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) test can help detect the connection problems between the RFUs and the antenna system.
The RRU/RFU supports the VSWR test. Run the STR VSWRTEST command to start the VSWR test on the RRU/RFU's TX channel. The RRU/RFU is connected to the antenna system through an RF jumper, as shown in Figure 2(a).
The AAU3910, AAU3911, and AAU3961 support the VSWR test. Run the STR VSWRTEST command to start the VSWR test on the RU TX channel. The AAU3910, AAU3911, or AAU3961 provides two slots, which can be configured with a maximum of two RUs. When configuring the RUs, you need to install the RF jumpers, as shown in Figure 2(b).
The AAU3902, AAU3920, and AAU3940 do not support the VSWR test, but support the antenna quality test. Run the STR ANTTEST command to start the antenna quality test. As the AAU3902, AAU3920, and AAU3940 combine RF modules with antennas, there is no need to install the RF jumper,.
