Hello friend,

In a nutshell:

Hot standby is an end-to-end LSP protection. It is 1:1 protection, that is, one LSP protects another LSP.

TE-FRR is a link/node protection scheme (without egress protection).  It is 1:N protection, One LSP protects N LSPs that traverse the link.
