Hello. Have big open space covered with Huawei AP6050DN and AP6150DN.

For minimaze CCI betwen APs we make manual configuration of channels and EIRPs on the APs. But now we see that configured parameters doesn't take effect.

RRM-Profile

AP6050DN radio configuration

AP6050DN config-info:

We see that configured EIRP for 2.4 GHz radio is 8 dBm, auto-txpower-select is disable in rrm-profile, but AP works with EIRP=13dBm.

Why is that?

Hello,

I think that is the minimum EIRP of that AP. It cannot be lower than 13. You can try to configure on AC, eirp 14 to see if the actual EIRP is changed.

Hello,

When you set eirp value below than minimum, the actual eirp CE) is minimum.
If the configured transmit power of a radio is smaller than the minimum transmit power supported by the AP, the smaller one between the minimum transmit power supported by the AP and maximum transmit power required by local laws and
regulations is the actual transmit power of the radio.

Please change eirp to higher value and test. make sure RRM profile is bounded successfully and other configuration is
correct.

Secondly. Do you have antenna ?
if no antenna, remove antenna-gain command. it will Not effect CE, but will effect actual power
Eirp = chip power + antenna + MIMO
if there are no antenna, you set eirp as you want, but if there are no antenna and you configure it, it will effect chip power

Yes, when i increase EIRP for 14 it works.
What document describe that 13 is minimum EIRP for AP6050DN? It's very important parameter and it will be very sad if no document describe this.

Hello,
Unfortunately, there is no document mentions this. only max eirp is mentioned.
just try now, 13 is the minimum EIRP.

@surriken87 in fact, the AP transmit power has a minimum value and a maximum value, when configured EIRP is lower than the minimum value, AP will work with the minimum value, and configured EIRP is higher than the maximum value, the maximum value will be selected. By the way, I searched a lot of manuals, but none of them described the minimum value, only the maximum vlaue is metioned.
