When we want to execute an upgrade task, there is an option Forced Reset and Graceful Reset, which bothered a lot of people. What's the difference ?
Now the explanations as follows:
When Forced is selected for Reset Type, the ONT will immediately restart after the upgrade, regardless of whether the ONT has any ongoing service or XML loading task.
When Graceful is selected for Reset Type, three scenarios are involved regarding the automatic ONT start:
1.If the ONT does not have any ongoing vioce service or XML loading task, the ONT will immediately restart after the upgrade.
2.If the ONT has the aforementioned ongoing service/task and the service/task duration is within 4 hours (the maximum delay before the restart), the ONT will restart when the service/task is completed.
3.If the aforementioned ongoing service/task lasts longer than 4 hours, the ONT will restart after 4 hours.
When Forced is selected for Reset Type, the ONT will immediately restart after the upgrade, regardless of whether the ONT has any ongoing service or XML loading task.
Until now, can you got it ?
