5. MIB

A MIB is a collection of definitions that define the properties of objects within a device to be managed. Each agent of a managed device maintains a MIB. Devices are managed by reading data from or writing data to the MIB. The following figure shows an example of a MIB.

The MIB is organized hierarchically and can be depicted as a tree with different levels from the root to the single leaves. Each object identifier (OID) has an address that follows the levels of the OID tree. For example, to get to the internet object, use {} as follows:

By default, the Eudemon can access ViewDefault, which is the internetobject with its OID being {}.
