Overview
This document describes the system operation and maintenance (O&M) management of FusionCloud Desktop Solution, and helps administrators implement routine O&M.
1 System O&M Management
1.1 Overview
System O&M management is one of administrators' basic routine work. Administrators maintain system running status, and handle system exceptions immediately to ensure proper system running and service continuty. The O&M management covers the following aspects:
lSystem management
l Alarm handling
l Troubleshooting
1.2 System Management
System management means the system management of the desktop cloud. Administrators perform common operations in the FusionCloud Desktop V100R006C00 System Management Guide to manage and maintain the desktop cloud system routinely. The system management operations include: account management, certificate management, patch management, system configuration management, system monitoring, system maintenance, and backup and restoration.
For example, If an equipment room needs to be powered off before repairing, the administrator powers off the desktop cloud system based on the operation guide in section "Powering Off the System" in the FusionCloud Desktop Solution V100R006C00 Documentation. After the repairing is finished, the administrator powers on the desktop cloud system based on the operation guide in section "Powering Off the System" in the FusionCloud Desktop Solution V100R006C00 Documentation.
1.3 Alarm Handling
Alarm handling means the alarm handling of the desktop cloud system. Administrators log in to the desktop cloud management system every day to check whether an alarm exists on the desktop cloud system. If an alarm exists, the administrator uses the alarm handling methods in the FusionAccess V100R006C00 Alarm Handling to clear the alarm and ensure stable system running.
For example, if the CPU usage of a server exceeds the threshold, an alarm is generated. The administrator checks whether the alarm is caused by insufficient system resources due to too many services by using alarm handling methods. If the alarm is caused by insufficient system resources, expand system capacities.
1.4 Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting means the troubleshooting of the desktop cloud, including desktop cloud system troubleshooting and desktop cloud user VM troubleshooting. When the desktop cloud system or the desktop cloud user VM is faulty, administrators follow instructions in the FusionCloud Desktop V100R006C00 Troubleshooting to rectify the fault and ensure service continuity.
