default-route-advertise using conditional-route-match-any

Hello Everyone, 


I have two routers connected on two diferents carrier/isp  and receiving full routing from each carrier, so, there is an ibgp section between this my two routers, so, I have to send default-route from these two routers to one S6720, ( unfortunatelly I can't send the full routing to it), but I wouldn't like to request the Service Providers to send me the default route and then advertise to my IBGP sections. Looking up on the documentation I've found this conditional sample below, then, I am wondering if would be possible, I sent the default routing just after receiving routes from my Service Provider, and when it goes down, this default-route should be taken out.

Run peer { group-name | ipv4-address } default-route-advertise [ route-policy route-policy-name ] [ conditional-route-match-all { ipv4-

address1 { mask1 | mask-length1 } } &<1-4> | conditional-route-match-any { ipv4-address2 { mask2 | mask-length2 } } &<1-4> ]


The device is configured to send a default route to the specified peer or a peer group.

If route-policy route-policy-name is set, the BGP device changes attributes of the default route based on the specified route policy.

If conditional-route-match-all { ipv4-address1 { mask1 | mask-length1 } } &<1-4> is set, the BGP device sends the default route to the peer only when routes that match all the all specified conditions exist in the local routing table.

If conditional-route-match-any { ipv4-address2 { mask2 | mask-length2 } } &<1-4> is set, the local device sends a default route to the peer when routes that match any of the specified conditions exist in the local routing table.

Hi,
You can use the peer xx.xx.xx.xx default-route-advertise conditional-route-match-all 0.0.0.0 0 command. 

Then the routers send the default route to the S6720 only when the default route exists in the local routing table.

Popeye,

Actually I am not going to receive the default-route from any Service Provider to my Router, in this scenario I will receive the full routing table,so, let's call router A (connected with Service Provider A) and router B (connected with Service Provider B) either, ISP will send full routing, but I would like to send to ibgp section default routing just when the service providers are UP.

I think the command I've been given will satisfy this need.
When the ISP does not send the default route to Router A/B, the conditional-route-match-all parameter does not match 0.0.0.0 and the default route is not sent to IBGP.

Hello @welisson_br !

You can put as a conditional route your directly connected network with ISP :)
This route will be matched as long as you have the direct link is UP.
But, if you want more precise control (sometimes, your upstream ISP may lose the its own upstream peering connections) you can select the most stable networks in the internet, Like Facebook and Google and use for conditional matching, if these routes are lost from your Routing table, it mostly means that your upstream also lost it, and it’s time to withdraw your
0.0.0.0/0 advertisement.
peer xx.xx.xx.xx default-route-advertise conditional-route-match-any Google/24 Facebook /24
