Deal with the LASER_MODULE_MISMATCH alarm

Today, I'd like to share a case with you.


Problem Description

Laser module mismatch alarm in 9800 M24 G402C01 Board with TN12C1CFPT51 Module


Handling Procedure

1. According to the product documentation, the G402 supports this optical module.

2.Query the port attributes. It is found that the port is displayed as a gray optical module, but it is actually a daylighting optical module.


Root Cause

When you add the module it recognize it as a CFP4*28G type , if you delete the port it doesn`t  change


Solution Description

In the Path View on the board, right click on the port and select Modiify Port option and change the type to Line Side Color Optical Port.
