Dear friend!

There are several ways to achieve the purpose of testing the DDF.

Method 1: Use the Y-shaped connector on the DDF to perform a loopback on the E1 signals sent from the OptiX OSN 1800. Then, on the Web LCT, check whether the local end of the looped back-channel reports the E1_LOS alarm. If no alarm is reported, the DDF is available. If an alarm is generated, the DDF may be faulty. (As long as the board and the E1 line are properly and securely connected.)

Method 2: Perform an outloop on the E1 port on the SP3D board of the OptiX OSN 1800, and then use your meter to perform a test on the DDF. If the meter displays no abnormality, the DDF is functional. If any exception occurs, rectify the fault.

Method 3: Connect your instrument directly to the rear of the DDF and loop back the DDF with a Y-shaped connector. Then observe the test result displayed on the meter.
