If the upgrade of the eLMT software package is delayed, you need to upgrade the software package to the minimum package, and then supplement the package according to the actual situation. If you log in to the eLMT to upgrade the base station locally or after the upgrade to the minimum package, you need to manually supplement the eLMT minimum package to the complete package. This section describes how to manually supplement the minimum package to a complete package.
Prerequisites
The eLMT must be directly connected to the base station network for direct FTP communication. Ports 20 and 21 are open.
The minimum eLMT packet can be used normally.
Background Information
The eLMT minimum package refers to the eLMT software that contains only the FTP server tool and some MML commands.
The eLMT package consists of the eLMT software including MML commands, batch processing, alarm, tracing, monitoring, device maintenance, and self-check.
Note:
The file name of the complete package is Software.csp. if the package is in compressed format, you need to manually decompress the package and upload the Software.csp file to the base station through the FTP server.
After the eLMT is supplemented from the minimum package to the complete package, the board is not reset. You can log in to the eLMT again to use the complete package function.
The supplement process does not affect services of other base stations except local maintenance.
Operation Procedure
Configure the FTP server. For details, see Configuring the FTP Server.
Run the SPL SOFTWARE command to supplement the software to the BTS through the FTP server.
Note:
In the parameter setting, you must enter the IP address, user name, and password of the FTP server, and set Delay Download Option to YES (Supplement Delay Download File).
After the software is supplemented, log in to the eLMT again to use the complete package function.
