Hi there!
This time, I will share with you a case about data errors that occur by large pigtail attenuation.
Problem Description
At a site, When the gain of the OAU board is set, the gain range is much smaller than the actual gain range.

Handling Process
The OAU101 board is used and the gain ranges from 20dB to 33 dB. However, the gain cannot be set to a value greater than 23.5 dB.
After our on-site inspection, it is found that the pigtail loss from the TDC port to the RDC port of the OAU board is particularly large. After replacing the pigtail, the board can be set to the value within the gain range.
Root Cause
The attenuation of the pigtail between the TDC and RDC ports on the OAU board is excessively large, As a result, the gain cannot be set to the maximum value of the actual range.
Solution
Replace the pigtail between the TDC and RDC ports on the OAU board.
Summary
If the gain of the OA board cannot be set to a large value, check whether the pigtail between the TDC and RDC ports is faulty at first.
That's all, welcome everyone to leave a message and exchange in the comment area!
Thank you!
