Data boards on the OptiX OSN 1500 report the HARD_BAD Alarm

Note  that the possible reasons are:

• Boards in slots 7 and 12 share the interface board in slot 15; boards in slots 8 and 13 share the interface board in slot 17.

• Slot 6 provides protection for slots 7 and 8; slot 11 provides protection for slots 12 and 13. Therefore, slots 6 and 11 share the interface boards in slots 15 and 17.

To handle this alarm you should remove the boards in slots 6, 7, and 8 or the boards in slots 11, 12, and 13.

If the HARD_BAD alarm is reported by a board, the possible causes are as follows:

Cause 1: The service board is not in good contact with the backplane, the version of the board is mismatched with the version of the NE, or the service board is faulty.

Cause 2: The cross-connect board is not in good contact with the backplane, or is faulty.

Cause 3: The SCC board is not in good contact with the backplane, or is faulty.

Cause 4: The power supply of the NE is abnormal.
