Issue Description
Customer connect a cooper link with 1GE speed on interface 25GE2/1/19 of CE8860 with CE88-D24S2CQ card, but cannot up
Handling Process
From we checked, customer insert one 10GE SFP optical module on interface 25GE2/1/20 and up.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" />
For this CE88-D24S2CQ card, The 24 10GE/25GE SFP28 optical ports are divided into 6 port groups, with four ports in each group (1-4, 5-8, 9-12...21-24). So the interface 17-20 is in one group, so if 25GE2/1/20 is configured with 10GE, the other three interface will be set as 10GE. like below:
Due to 25GE2/1/20 interface is set 10GE and up, so the interface 25GE2/1/19 will appear below error, and cannot up.
Root Cause
The interfaces which in one group should be the same speed and insert the same speed transceiver. Then the four interfaces will be all ok.
Solution
Divide the different speed transceiver into different group, then the interfaces are all up.
This limit just exist before V200R002C50 version. Can upgrade this device version to V200R002C50SPC800+ V200R002SPH006
Suggestions
document doesn’t say the card can support 1G SFP optical module, so don’t suggest you use 1G SFP optical module, just use 1G cooper.
If you insist, please notice that the interface must change to 1GE in force but cannot self-adaption, and the interface of peer device should also change to 1GE in force but not self-adaption.
